Rome Slater
Rome has been dancing for 18 years and is the Co-Owner of Creative Culture Dance Academy with Nigel Shum. Rome also manages the recreational program at Airborne Gymnastics. He has training in various styles of dance including: West Coast Swing, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Ballet.
Nigel shum
Nigel has been dancing for 18 years and is the Co-Owner of Creative Culture Dance Academy with Rome Slater. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Communication Studies. In his years as a competitive dancer he won numerous dance awards including Mr. Dance at the KAR Regional dance competition in 2012. He has training in various styles including: Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Ballet. At the age of 16 he taught his first Hip Hop class to children ages 8-12. He later found his love for tap dance which lead him into teaching intermediate and advanced tap classes.
weNDy ahearn
Wendy Ahearn, originally from Bradenton, FL received her formal ballet training at the School of American Ballet in New York City. From there, she was chosen to join the New York City Ballet, where she was a member of the corps de ballet for eight years. She is thrilled to be able to share her knowledge and love of ballet with the wonderful dancers at Creative Culture Dance Academy. Wendy also holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Jose State University and is an Orthopedic Pilates Practitioner.
